new issue of arab world books

The online Arab World Books has e-mailed a newsletter to subscribers informing them of the publication of its latest issue, which includes a length review by playwright Tony Kushner, and Alisa Solomon - who teaches at Columbia University's School of Journalism and is the author of 'Re-Dressing the Canon: Essays on Theater and Gender' - of Caryl Churchill's controversial play on Gaza 'Seven Jewish Children'. The review was first published in The Nation.

Arab World Books, which contains both Arabic and English content, is "about the ideas, the books and the women and men who created them.Founded in Geneva in July 1998, it is the first Arab cultural online club.We are an independent non-profit entity staffed by volunteers. We welcome all contributions and encourage interaction. Our club is dedicated to enhance understanding between different cultures.If this interests you, we welcome you as a member of this club."

The newsletter states:
